1. Who is Rosati’s Frozen Custard?

Since 1974 we have been serving award-winning homemade hard ice cream to Northeast Ohio in our family owned Honey Hut Ice Cream Shoppes. We wanted to explore its creamier, smoother cousin, frozen custard, when we opened our first highly anticipated Rosati’s Frozen Custard shop in Northfield Center, Ohio. According to the Akron Beacon Journal’s Custard Challenge of 2002, Rosati’s came so close to first place “that statisticians would probably declare the contest a draw.” We make our velvety-rich frozen custard the way it’s supposed to be made, one batch at a time, several times a day. We use only the freshest ingredients – fruits, nuts, chocolates and cream, because our customers deserve the very best!

We offer our franchisees our private label frozen custard, our own line of smoothies, Best Friends Fruit Blends™, our expertise in the ice cream field of more than 50 years combined, over 100 vibrant flavors presented monthly on our website and Special Flavor Calendars, and most importantly the opportunity to own your own frozen custard shop.

2. What are the initial costs and fees?

The estimated initial investment, including the first 3-6 months of operation, ranges from approximately $156,640- $209,590. (This figure includes the franchise fee of $25,000.) This does not include real estate or lease hold improvements. There is an ongoing Royalty Fee of 4% and an Advertising Fee of 1%.

3. What type of return can I expect?

Federal and state laws prevent us from suggesting how much money you can earn from a Rosati’s Frozen Custard franchise. We do encourage you to conduct due diligence during the informational process. The amount of money you can earn may depend on your location, your ability to manage a business, how well you can control operating expenses and sales volume.

4. Site Selection

We will assist you in locating and approving a site suitable for a Rosati’s Frozen Custard.
